Selling & buying on Osee

Physical goods, digital products and services. Order management, payments and seller responsibilities.

This guide complements our Terms. It is general information, not individualized legal or tax advice. Country, product, buyer and payment-provider rules differ. Live checkout requires an approved seller-owned merchant account and Osee’s live-payment activation. A listing or currency option is not approval to sell everywhere.

Start selling

  1. Open Listings and complete your seller identity, business country, contact, tax-registration details where applicable, delivery policy and refund policy.
  2. Create a listing. Choose physical goods, digital product or service. Add an accurate description, media, price and currency, applicable tax information and any required country of origin.
  3. For physical goods, explain delivery destinations, timeframes, shipping costs and import charges. For digital products, explain file formats, compatibility, licence and download conditions. For services, state the scope, timeline, location and cancellation/rescheduling rules.
  4. Connect an eligible payment account that you own and are authorized to use. Complete your provider’s verification. Never put API credentials in public content. Test-mode payments do not complete real purchases.
  5. Review and publish. Monitor orders, confirm payment in the supported order flow, fulfil your promises and keep lawful transaction records. Correct mistakes promptly and provide required refunds or remedies.

Your seller workspace

In Listings → Sales, search by item, buyer, invoice or order reference; filter payment state, test/live mode, fulfilment and dates. Select up to 50 paid orders to update fulfilment together, then open an individual order to add its tracking link. A fulfilment update never marks an unpaid order as paid. Export filtered or selected records as CSV (up to 2,000 per report) and print up to 20 issued invoices together. Keep exported buyer information secure and use it only for fulfilment and lawful recordkeeping.

Manage draft, published and archived listings in batches within the selected space. Seller setup includes your shop name, public logo, invoice colour and note; your legal seller identity remains on invoices. Changes apply to new order snapshots, not existing purchase records. Refunds and disputes are handled through your payment provider, with verified updates reflected in Osee. A generated record is not a substitute for any additional invoice or tax filing required by law.

Before you buy

Check who the seller is, what is included, the full payable price, currency, delivery arrangements and cancellation/return policy. Confirm compatibility before buying a download. Keep your order reference. Contact the seller for product or fulfilment concerns and Osee Support for platform issues. Do not rely on a payment screenshot as confirmation or send card details through messages.

A clearer checkout

  1. Read the listing, seller identity, delivery area and refund policy. Seller details and tax registrations are self-declared, not an Osee endorsement.
  2. Enter your invoice and delivery details. Review and correct them before accepting the displayed total and policies. One item is purchased per order; the advertised price includes seller-declared tax and delivery. Check bank conversion fees and any import charges separately.
  3. Continue to the seller’s payment-provider form. Osee creates an order before payment; only the provider’s verified payment result confirms payment. If the offer changes before order creation, reload and review it again.
  4. Return to Listings → Purchases for the order record, payment status, seller fulfilment updates and available invoice. New orders save the reviewed description and policies. Print the order record for your records; it is not a substitute for a required tax invoice.

What these tools do—and do not—provide

Osee offers order records, seller contact, purchased-file access after a verified live payment and verified-purchase reviews. It does not offer escrow, insurance, cashback or a guaranteed refund. A verified-purchase label confirms a real payment, not product quality or seller identity. No benefit depends on leaving a positive review.

For a cancellation, return or problem, use “Email seller about this order” in the order page and send the email from your mail app. This prepares an email; it does not submit a cancellation or refund inside Osee. Keep evidence, follow up promptly and use the provider or relevant consumer authority where appropriate. The seller’s policies cannot waive mandatory consumer rights. Contact Osee Support about platform misuse or safety issues.

Tax and invoicing essentials

Tax is not determined by the selected currency alone. Seller and buyer locations, registration, the type of supply and local marketplace rules can matter. Sellers must check whether to register, what to charge and how to report it; do not assume a general threshold or exemption applies to every online sale. Invoice details must be accurate. Osee’s invoice tools use seller-supplied information and do not replace government reporting, e-invoicing obligations or professional advice.

Osee or the payment provider may have separate tax-collection, reporting or consumer duties where the law requires them. Direct payment to a seller does not waive those duties. Do not proceed in a country where the necessary compliance, checkout consent, fulfilment or remedy process is not supported.

Country and region guidance

Check both the seller’s location and the buyer’s destination. The summaries below are entry points to official guidance, not an exhaustive list of every country’s requirements.

India

Check GST registration and e-commerce-specific conditions for your supply; exemptions are conditional, not automatic. Use correct GSTIN, classification, place-of-supply and invoice details when applicable. Check export/import documentation for overseas trade. Provide required seller identity, price, origin, delivery, refund and grievance information and preserve consumer rights. Sellers and the platform must assess their respective duties.

Official guidance: CBIC GST registration · Consumer Protection and E-Commerce Rules · National Consumer Helpline.

European Union

For covered consumer distance sales, disclose trader identity, total price, delivery and withdrawal information. A 14-day withdrawal right commonly applies, with product-specific exceptions; do not treat every download as automatically non-refundable. Immediate digital supply can require express consent and acknowledgement regarding withdrawal rights. Check destination VAT and whether OSS/IOSS applies. Product-safety and marketplace obligations may also apply.

Official guidance: Distance selling and consumer rights · VAT One Stop Shop.

United Kingdom

Provide required pre-contract details, clear payment and delivery terms, and a durable confirmation. Check cancellation rights and the separate express-consent requirements for immediate digital downloads. VAT treatment differs for UK/overseas goods and digital services; marketplace rules and Northern Ireland arrangements can differ. Review your specific transaction before collecting tax.

Official guidance: Online selling requirements · Goods and marketplace VAT · Digital-services VAT.

United States

Check state and local sales-tax, registration and marketplace-facilitator rules; there is no single nationwide sales-tax rate for all orders. Report taxable business income as required. For merchandise covered by the FTC’s delivery rule, have a reasonable basis for shipping promises and provide required delay, cancellation and refund options. Advertising and reviews must not mislead buyers.

Official guidance: IRS small-business tax guide · FTC online delivery rules. Consult the relevant state revenue authority for sales-tax requirements.

Canada

Review federal GST/HST and relevant provincial sales-tax and consumer rules. Cross-border digital products and services can fall within special digital-economy registration and collection rules. Check whether obligations fall on the vendor or platform; do not assume that being outside Canada removes them.

Official guidance: CRA digital-economy GST/HST.

Australia

Check GST requirements, including rules affecting overseas sellers and digital platforms. Applicable Australian consumer guarantees cannot simply be replaced by a “no refunds” policy. Overseas businesses selling directly to Australian consumers may also have consumer-law duties. Check product-safety and remedy requirements before offering goods.

Official guidance: GST registration · ACCC consumer guarantees.

Other countries and cross-border orders

Consult the local tax authority, consumer regulator and a qualified adviser for your seller and buyer locations. Check business licences, digital-content rules, import duties, sanctions/export controls, data-protection requirements and supported payment settlement. These regions are not a list of countries approved for Osee checkout. Restrict sales to destinations you can legally and reliably serve.

Returns, complaints and fair reviews

Seller policies should be easy to find before payment and must preserve mandatory rights. Keep evidence and contact the seller promptly about a problem. Do not pressure a buyer to remove an honest review in exchange for a legally required remedy. A refund dispute does not justify harassment. Use Support for platform complaints and relevant consumer or payment-provider channels where appropriate.
